The term ‘Lasya‘, in the context of Hindu Mythology, stands for the dance performed by Goddess Parvati. Lasya means beauty, happiness and grace. Lasya Dance Academy is an institution that share the happiness, grace rhythm of dance through Traditional Bharatnatyam – which serves as the storehouse of asthetic pleasure also. This institution started it’s maiden journey in the year 2010 under the direct guidance of Tapaswini Bhattacharjee, a renown figure in the area of dance at Midnapore.

This institution was christened by Guru Acharya Anusuya Ghosh Banerjee in 2013. Not only Bhratnatyam, other creative dance forms are taught here. This institution is affiliated to Bangiya Sangeet Parishad and got registered by the Government of West Bengal. Lasya Dance Academy has it’s own dance production like “Sudhu Tomar Janya”, “Pagal Hawa” etc.

We send selected students for National Scholarship (both senior & junior) under the Ministry Of Culture. Moreover all the students of this academy get proper guidance for their bright future based on dance and moreover it provides a platform for them to make themselves known artist.
